MLK students are diving into Judy Moody Saves the World as part of our One School, One Book initiative, and they’re turning pages into action!
Through the story, students have been exploring important topics like endangered animals, recycling, composting, global warming and deforestation. To bring this learning to life, MLK hosted an exciting Conservation Family Night during our Scholastic Book Fair week on March 26. Families enjoyed hands-on activities and shopped at the fair together.

Students were creative with re-use and upcycling projects. They built cardboard structures with Make-Do, transforming egg cartons, old books, magazines and paper rolls into art. They even learned how paper is recycled and made their own.
It was a fun and meaningful evening celebrating reading, creativity and caring for our planet!
