On August 27, Utica football officially kicked off the fall season by hosting its Media Day at Thomas R. Proctor High School. Players and coaches from across the program gathered to share their goals, showcase new leadership and outline expectations for both the junior varsity (JV) and varsity Raiders.
The event offered a clear snapshot of where the program stands moving into the fall. The focus across both levels balances long-term development with immediate game-day readiness. Younger players on the JV squad are stepping up to gain valuable field experience, while returning leaders on varsity aim to set the tone for the entire roster. With offseason preparations wrapped up, both teams are aligned on building momentum early and maintaining a high standard of play.
With media events concluded at Proctor, attention shifts back to the practice field. Preseason preparation is in its final stretches and both squads are focused on translating their hard work into game-day results as opening night kickoff approaches.
A special thank-you goes out to everyone behind the scenes whose time, effort and support helped make the JV and varsity football Media Day a success. The program greatly appreciates the community's dedication to creating a great experience for the players as they gear up for the upcoming season.
